Sham Mid-Year Review

Totally sham review, but my boss is about to be gone for location strategy so whatever! I’m hoping morale can pick up, it’s so bad right now. no one even looks at my face in my building, just really sad! Yeah, it’s like three times a week. I only get only love from the janitors kind of sad.

Love you all.

If you are in your notice period and get a less than meets rating, what is the benefit of contesting the rating?

A few things here

  • if you are still on the books but on your notice period and don’t believe your mgr then contest the review with HR now (don’t wait)
  • there are plenty of exceeds going out (not me unfortunately) for mid year. There are just as many inconsistently meets. It’s a bell curve
  • Wells over rates too many for years so now they are doing the reverse. Forced ranking is true even tho all execs say it isn’t.

I was laid off recently and received a sham review as well. My manager posted it and I received no notification. Still within my 60 day notice period. Debating if I want to call them out on it. If there's ever a class action lawsuit about false reviews I'm joining it.

Everyone should make sure they download their sham reviews before they lose access.

I was told by my manager that the directive is no exceeds is allowed, the best review allowed is meets, even for the top tier employees. I told him I’m going to do the meets level work, so I can get laid off.

They tend to give H1b folks better reviews for reasons unknown to me.

Even the ones did none other than copying and pasting my code got better reviews than I did.

It's the standard operating procedure for Wells Fargo.

Spineless middle manager (like Schimek) tells equally spineless subordinate manager to rate individual contributor employee with below meets. His reasoning is not founded in reality and subordinate manager has no choice, nor balz, to push back.

Individual contributor either takes it, along with a 66 percent cut to his bonus, OR decides he's had enough and quits. This is the desired outcome. Otherwise they pay a full bonus to someone they later have to pay severance too. Fu(K Wells Fargo!!!!

Going to the office is a joke, reviews are a joke, policies are a joke, and Hudson Yards is the biggest joke ever. This place is going to heck in a hand basket.
