Layoff HR id--ts - they’re drain on bottom line
@qpr Some managers are like mushrooms, kept in the dark and fed BS.
My contacts in the banana republic where HR is based confirmed to me there are significant layoffs coming they will hit all departments. They will span all grade levels, and job roles. This will be very similar to act. Only the numbers will be higher.
There are only 11 HR jobs open at Intel. No extraordinary hiring going on at HR currently. Obviously, some of the messages posted here are BS. People, please check your facts before scribbling stuff here.
Lots of HR gigs were up recently. That was my first hint that something was amiss. As a manager however I’ve not heard anything coming down the pipe. That not it’s a surprise because why would they tell us ahead of time.
No matter what happens though I see the writing on the wall and will be getting out at the first opportunity. Intel’s Q2 stock price was low and the last time that happened there was layoffs and austerity measures.
If assuming the outcome of Insights and OKR results are factors in who gets dismissed, those are not due until 7/31. So likely no action until after the ACM. Are there people out there getting impromptu calendar hits for Insights discussions this week despite already completing them? This might be a good indication that your manager wants to make a stronger case to keep you . . . or the opposite
They probably do know that they are getting fired but get a bonus for sticking around to complete the process with other employees.
"Layoff the trainer right after the training is over. He will be a practice run for the trainees."
they are being taught to self-fire

Question is whether the layoffs will hit this week before EC or after…
Surprised this hasn't leaked yet to news outlets considering how many people must know if what folks are saying is true.
They pretend to lay off some in order to get stupid investors on Wall St to bring their stock price up and then they pretend to hire new inexperience people for much lower cost. Nothing is special.
what are they having lectures on how to kn--e someone in the back
and pass the caviar to upper management
it will be interesting to see who gets the axe
productive folks or non-productive folks
upper skillless management or workers
Lot of opening for hr. Means lot of hiring going on for mass layoff
The irony is that HR itself will be laying off people too.
Heard they are hiring more HR people to handle layoffs since they don’t have a enough headcount
Special training...AGAIN?
They should be experts at it by now.
Trainings are happening this week.
