Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

My advise

Do the bare minimum guys. Prioritize your well being. Spend time with family and friends. Do not answer emails or phone calls during vacation. Go late, leave early. Enjoy life!!

I would advise you not to give advice.

Agree. A few weeks ago they were asking for someone on a call and someone said that she passed away. No one cared, without missing a beat they asked who took over for her. They don’t care

@1khw+1tLe3fNi Why be spiteful? None of the execs care that I am leaving. Maybe some leaders will be like "oh, we lost ... ok. Who will replace them?" It will be those that do the work that will say "at least he didn't drop a pile of sh*t on us as he was leaving" Don't burn your bridges, build them...

Nah, I am going to walk out with a smile on my face that they know a really good employee has just walked out the door. I want to show up, be seen, be heard, and be remembered as a talent that they let leave. I will hype up my accomplishments from over the years in conversation so they all get a just reminder before I go. I want to leave my peers and my colleagues in the best position I can knowing I left them the keys to my work and showed them everything I could in the few days remaining.

I will walk out with dignity and will not turn back.

Anyone answering work phone calls or emails while on vacation should have to answer to the shop steward. What is wrong with you? C'mon man, not a joke!

All leaders on Value GTS follow this advice already, that is if they actually show up to the office as they refuse to RTO as mandated.

About 30 years late with that advice but mostly good advice for a long while here. Work the hours reported though to avoid being fired.

Unless you’re hourly. Act like this persons advises, and they’ll fire you for time card falsification. Don’t lose that VSP for something stupid like this.
