After years of being told to show “courage of conviction”, I was just given the reason of “courage of conviction to excess”. FFS

I was dinged for communication issues. Not engaging the engineers enough. I think they wanted me up their arses. I don't do that very well I just took care of the problems. The next year I bugged the s hit out of the engineers and got dinged for improper communications. Wasting their time with too much detail. One hipo was a manic crazy person who was angry and had out burst during meetings. The special protected person was given outstanding rating that year. They said it was because he displayed courage of conviction. This animal attacked multiple people verbally during meetings. Everyone thought he would be piped or fired but alas he displayed the traits most becoming of a true exxon employees. The lovely person is still employeed and treated very well by the company.
Boss: KO feedback says that you were disrespectful to your co-worker in a meeting.

It’s not about the results but your “behavior”.
My supervisor never clarified the “behavior”. Although I know it was because it was I didn’t give credit to my former supervisor or the other “chosen one” for the work neither one of them contributed to.
“You didn’t talk to enough people.” All the people I talked to either were PIP’d or quit the company.

Boss says "you don't work well with people". Employee responds, "that contradicts what you said in my K/O feedback". Who is it that I don't work well with?. Boss says" Employee X". My response was that person left over a year ago and I never worked with that person
