THe price of everything has gone up significantly. It has really helped me with all of the properties that I own and rent out. People keep saying that guys like me, who own multiple properties, shouldn't be hording homes like this. Well, the economy bears it. Rents will stay high, home prices will stay high, and vehicle prices will stay high. $1,000 off is about as far as they should go. People will pay what it takes if they truly need a new vehicle. And as long as the competition remains close to us, without officially colluding, then people will either pony up and buy new vehicles or keep their used vehicles running longer. In that case, we'll push to keep them coming to our dealerships for their services and repairs.

Ford forgot to add another zero to the discount program, if they really want to move inventory...

Our products are too expensive, full stop. A reasonably contented Escape is damn near $40K even with the A plan discount. No wonder sales are down. The value simply isn’t there.
