In the airline I worked for, we had a saying. Stay close to the airplanes. Stay away from party planning type jobs. There were actual operational areas that had limited amount of employees that were not easily replaced. I made it through four decades. I’d never accept a job titled story teller.

The thinkers and the doers are just about gone. Only the jhoothas are left.

@OP VZ is all about story telling. They want strategic thinkers not doers. They can always outsource and offshore to people that do the work well enough to impress the strategic story tellers.
Happy for you, Vz is to the point of the taking the close to airplane ops jobs and rebadging, contracting, offshoring, etc.
