Farley: decimating Ford’s market share and shareholder value since 2009

Why is Farley still CEO?

I cannot point to a single positive move he has made for the company, but I could lists a dozen negatives.

“MF was the last decent Ford leader”.

I would put him as “okay” leader. Clearly the Ford Family didn’t like him. He lost the CEO job when the Google deal fell through.

JH was a joke, and made the worst decision for picking his successor and firing JH. I still remember that day like yesterday. Everyone in my building was in disbelief.

I heard a rumor that freezing the pension is on the table again for discussion. Any truth to that?

@zhx......replace Fields with Field, and I'll agree with your post.

MF was the last decent Ford leader, the clown show began after he left. But to note, the head clown BF has always been messing stuff up today and prior.

Once you realize that the family is only looking for a paycheck out of the company, and nothing else, you start coming to terms with the decisions the company makes. From who is the CEO/VPs, to investments, putting family members in the company, etc.

Disgruntled shareholder? Making the move to not buyback Ford’s stock actually gained my respect for him and everyone else involved in that decision. Buying back stock NEVER benefits the company, only those holding stock. Investing in the company at a time where China is breathing down the necks of automotive is the best move possible. This sets Ford up for future success and better economical health in the future. Now if every other company focused their efforts in growing their companies instead of buying back stock we would have so many more innovative companies and a better economy overall from the hiring of jobs to fulfill the innovative growth of those companies. Wallstreet is a sickness on the economy that needs to get itself under control and stop using stock buybacks as a strategy when buying company’s stock.

Putting Fields in the same category as Hackett, Farley, and Billy is id--tic.

Fields was doing one thing right: emulating Mutually. Whatever Mutually did, Fields tried to do the same. Granted he was no Mutually but trying to be kept him head and shoulders above the other id--ts you mentioned.

The only solace I get from owning my classic Ford vehicles is that they were either made before Billy was born or he was too young to have any say. I really hope someone can turn the company around but it doesn't look good.

Don't forget about the share holder money used for Bill's legacy, the train station.

Farley, Hackett, Fields and the greatest FAILURE of all Bill Ford have destroyed Ford Motor Company. Under their inferior decisions, FMC squandered BILLION$. MSC, AV, ARGO, Model E, Ford Next, Canopy, Lincoln, Ford Smart Mobility, Greenfield Labs, DFord, discontinuing Ford Focus, Fusion, Escape, targeting pensioned employees for layoffs, ...... the list is endless and yet there is NO ACCOUNTABILITY.
FINALLY, Morgan Stanley as well as Blackrock, Vanguard and a powerful list of investors have stated Ford is going to fail unless management changes are made quckly.
TERMINATE FARLEY, LAWLER, D FIELD AND BILL must resign.
I suspect there's more to the story, the Ford family are the most unethical billionaires, they all profited from the crash of 2008, something is happening behind closed doors otherwise Farley would have been walked out.
Regardless, the meteoric drop in the stock price will cause more layoffs. Be prepared.
