At least in IT, you WILL NOT get rehired if displaced... It will never happen... Sure during the displacement meeting they make you feel special and tell you that the roles are posted and they provide the links.
Do not be fooled.

I read this forum more for laughs than factual information.
Those, in general, who have been let go have fallen into 3 buckets. Collateral Damage (good employees cut because a % reduction was mandated by their leadership tower), Remote workers without issues, Remote/non-remote WITH issues.
The first two are and have been rehired in various others. The last category, yes, you’re not getting back in no matter how much you want it.
Yes, you can be rehired. Old boss left and then came back.
A common thread on this page is a bunch of tech people just assuming that their personal experiences are definitely applicable for the entire bank. Took me a while to pick up on that but now when someone makes a post that I have no clue what they’re even talking about with no explanation or context I just assume “must be a tech thing.”
@ztd+1tOy0Vll yes.
Those displaced and hired back as contractors, did they receive severance?
A displaced employee can be hired back as a contractor/vendor— I know of three at this point that were in technology. They are not in hubs and will be working from home.
I don't want to be employed here and I AM employed here. why the FK would I want to be employed here if they fired me?????
I know two who have
There shouldn't be a single employee at WF that is fooled or naive of anything by this point.
There's exceptions to every rule on the books, but the vast majority will be gone and will never be seriously considered for a position here again. Shart is waging war on the employees that predate him. By hook or by crook, he'll get rid of us all. Just a matter of time time being "up" as the excuse of the month finally calls your number.
This is not true. I know several people who have been re-hired, but only if they live in hub locations. You have no chance if remote.
