Any ideas on who might be safe?

There have to be some areas that are safe from coming layoffs. Any ideas on which?

Nobody is safe, the older you are the more likely you are cut already. They will sprinkle in some 20 something’s to avoid ageism lawsuit but you old geezers are cooked.

If you were in a group that had CPM a month ago and were excluded from volunteering, I could see you still being excluded, unless reality set in on the reasons for that exclusion no longer being needed… and at this point, I don’t know that the vision really even exists to see these distinctions within the management chains

NAND at Fab 68 until they move to SKh March 2025 and INTC can reap another 2B to waste. They are safe, after all, they make wafers.

US employees will not be safe. The cut will be mainly in the US. Cost reduction.
