I can't get my week under 60 hours. I tried, but there's just too much to do and not enough time to do it. My entire team is like this. Every time there's a layoff and we lose more people, things get worse. We do get a replacement here and there but they're nowhere near the skill of the people let go, so it doesn't help much. I'm not sure how much longer it can continue like this.

ASP CSE here. I get 35-40 hours. Gives me enough time for golf, gym, lake. Even better is I am a grade 13 enjoying my differed comp. Best place to work in 2024. The work/life balance is outstanding.
40-45, but I'm on a large and high-profile project. We're also expected to check email on the weekends.

Depends …. Close to FCS 40-60 hours. Starting of project 40 hours.
Crisis or customer defects ….. 40-60 hours. I expect my manager to reward me for the extra hours or take a day off if I work on weekend.
Another company ….. close to 40 or sometime 40-50 hours
Another company…. Work weekend 1 day and week days
Try apple …. Many work on weekends in engineering!!
Sales reps barely work and just call the resellers to see what they sold and get their forecast for the following week

Absent channel means constant BOM building and answering basic questions
The PAMs are MIA so uncertain what their contribution is questionable
Local AMs are nowhere to be seen
By working at current Cisco, one is essentially working inverse hours; as you are taking work time away from progressing in an actual long-time career-feasible company.
Or you can look at it as you are working double the time for half of what you should actually be paid. Since the other non-existent half of your paycheck, which would have been there in the early 2000s Cisco in the form of stock options and good bonuses. Instead; that money is going to fund the executive team perks and payouts.

Any ambitious person would not be working at Cisco and the slackers are the only ones left
Competitors have opened or reopened offices and customers like to come in and kick the tires before they buy their solutions which they cannot do at Cisco anymore
Once Cisco closed majority of offices everyone went part time including management which is why Cisco is in this mess
Cisco is a big company has many BUs and your load may vary depending on different teams/leaders. I was LRd at Feb and before let go I do need working 60+ hours/week. Despite carrying many tasks I still got lay off. Been in Cisco for many years, I do know lots of friends in Cisco with okay work load. Some folks even feel quite relax with their daily work. It looks to me if your work is ridiculous busy then you are in danger better find other place to go asap.
60 hours a week is ridiculous and I'm sorry but I have to call BS... Cisco is honestly a country club compared to other companies (MSFT, Google, etc) and while my time at Cisco was relatively short as I was part of the Feb 2024 culling, I didn't hear anyone during my time complain about being over worked and my had me interacting with many different departments and levels on a daily basis.
i work 40 hours at my other job and 10 hours at cisco just like my manager and rest of team
60 hours is fake news most everyone works 2-3 hour mas per day to send BS emails and a few times a week dialing into a webex on mute while running errands
Make better strategic relationships. Anyone with friends at Cisco are assigned to "pet projects" with limited deliverables or metrics.
