Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

What is happening to our subscription to learning sites like linkedin, pluralsight udemy when we are getting laid off?

Are they removing us from these plans prior or after we are getting the pink slip ?

If you get whacked or think you are getting whacked have everything you want/need downloaded or have a work around within 24hrs post notification. I was let go this last Feb and although I was on the payroll for 2 months, you are put on a limited access profile that works marginally at best. For example, you could not access Visibility directly you had to authenticate to CEC through Duo and then click through the link on the Payroll page. Everything besides email and WebEx became a PIA. Although you were supposed to be preparing yourself for a new role during that 2 months, all the training resources the OP mentioned were gone. I opened a case on the issue and the response was the standard blow off.

Are they disabled during the notice period while you are still having access to email ?

Generally not disabled, no. For all its faults, the Cisco "notice period" is basically a non-event. How you get treated by other _people_ is another matter.

you might not have a job soon, and you're worried about the perpetually on sale $15 Udemy classes? Really?

These subscriptions are tied to your cisco email, which you loose access when unable to login using CEC.

I think these subscriptions are for active employees only.

Whooo, take a deep breath. Calm. Breath in counting to 4, hold for 2 and exhale.

You are over thinking. When I was laid off, none of that turned off. You’re going to be ok.

Deep breath.
