With all the blood baths today I cannot help but think hybrid is gone.
I know many hate RM but she did give us hybrid. Now she is gone so MW and MN arent gonna take it.

Hess Tower has a lot of space.
Chevron is left with only a small number of the right people that know what they are doing. Talent has thinned in the past decade and company performance has followed. Eliminating the hybrid schedule will result in losing more of those critical employees that help keep the company afloat.
I agree there are some employees abusing the hybrid schedule. Find them and get rid of them. Dont punish the good employees just to punish the bad employees.
The little cry-babys who stay at home most of the time and do nothing will have to work for a living now? Say it ain't so.
Hybrid is here to stay. Where will we put all the San Ramon folks? We do not have enough assigned space for everyone based in Houston. It will be hybrid and staggered to accommodate all. Agree with most that hybrid is a good option and likely not something people will be happy with if taken away.
Consider yourself lucky. Other BU's work 5.5 days a week in OFFICE
The OP here is pretty clueless. There was this thing in 2020 called a pandemic that created WFH and ultimately hybrid.
The pandemic also proved, for those 2 years, that we could pretty much produce the same amount with a much lower Opex. Those 2 years basically deferred the majority of maintenance and limited field service company headcounts.
It would be interesting to see if we could repeat those 2 years on our own by truly cutting all unnecessary opex and projects.
In MCBU, whole team have been made hybrid or 100% WFH because there isn't enough space in the building.
If your job can be done from home … it can be down from India.
We spend millions a quarter on collaboration tools. The problem isn’t hybrid, it’s the constant need to appease investors instead of just focusing on ourselves. The keeping up with the stans strategy never works.
how about we just make it consistent. Multiple people I know (blue badge) are STILL not coming in at all.
What target are we not meeting because people are working remotely?
We need to be back in the office because we never embraced hybrid. Shame on us. Too many people had exceptions, heck some teams flat out never came back at all. It was supposed to be three days but some only did two. You might think you’re better working from home, but we aren’t better. We lack collaboration, new ideas, and problem solving. All the comments on the company has changed and isn’t the same. You’re right and it all started when exceptions became the norm.
The experiment is over.
There are too many trying to defend this useless POS. She did not bring hybrid, COVID did
It is fine that no one can find any meaningful achievement or contribution or hers.none ...Nada so they either make up some or start using the race card
She was a narcissistic, incompetent person who destroyed the company, and unfortunately, it has taken the Board too long to recognize this.
This forum was helpful, by the way, and I know this as a fact.
And before anyone says anything, I am a brown woman in this function and her leadership. She was a useless waste of space, and I am glad she is gone.
MG is classy, and everyone will see this from day one. She is better educated, classy, and much much much more ethical. People will see a swift positive change.
No one cares about attrition or maintaining best talent, there is always cheaper talent available, don't fool yourself. There are plenty of educated and smart people that had been let go or are about to graduate and many of then will be haply to have a decent paying job rather than not having one. Now all ducks are in a row to make any and every decision under the excuse of poor performance, disappointing results to hide core executive management incompetence. Brace for the storm.
That would be a bad decision. We have already lost a lot of our best folks due to multiple reorgs. Ending hybrid will result in more attrition from our best employees who have other options.
