VSP and Vacation Time

Any ideas on how vacation accrual will work for those leaving in Sept? The release date is the 13th and vacation accrual date is the 16th. I'm thinking those released on the 13th will not receive the Sept vacation accrual.

I am using up what vacation I can because I have so many vacation hours and with the vsp payment plus my pay I have earned in 2024 will put me in another tax bracket if I don't use some of this vacation up.

Vacation balance is a separate check. Expect it around what would have been your next payday.

No Sept accrual since ae won’t be employed on the 16th. I still have to use some time before Aug 16th and use my personal days that remain because my state doesn’t pay those out.

I’m torn between taking time off in the last month and keeping my accrual bucket full. I guess we’ll see how busy it is but last time they basically treated everyone like a RIF in my group and their job was done except a handful of quick calls. Supposidly there will be some offboarding training and resources to take advantage of so that might be something to fill the days.

Your vacation balance will not be paid on your last check. It will be paid on the check after, assuming you have signed your sev agreement before you left.

That is correct. You will not get credit for September. They picked the 13th because that is the normal payday. To my understanding the 13th paycheck may include any back vacation you have available.
