Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Broken company

Ford was once known for and took pride in the quality of its products. Today, we are offering below average quality products and services. The main reason for this is below average leadership that is happy to cut corners to make things seem better than they are to make themselves look good. It pains me to see what Ford has turned into because of them.

We’ve lost core competencies and focus on the basics. I’m shocked as I sit in meetings and no one k owns how to get anything approved, no one is authorized to make any decisions, it’s all just questioning what’s going on and who does what. I try to share what I know from my time here but it just goes in to the void because there no longer seems to be any process control… or heck… processes.

As the saying goes, a fish rots from the head down. We are where we are at today from years of horrible leadership.

Honestly, Ford marketing should bring back "Quality is job 1" and management should not hinder engineering from actually achieving it. It can be done.

Tell DF and his model e pipe dreams to wait as quality is much more important.

For the last 25 years Ford has steadily declined in quality, reliability, employee morale and market share. The advertised "American F-150" has been overshadowed by Honda and Toyota, they assemble their trucks here with more American parts and have higher quality than Ford. How very sad...
