Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

This too shall pass

A lot of people will say "if you're not happy, just get another job" and "if you work hard you have nothing to worry about." For some people, the stability is important, especially with kids. And I think we all know that Intel hasn't been a meritocracy for a long time.

I was CPM'd in the first wave, and while it was scary at first, once I was out, I was much happier. It's like leaving a toxic relationship. It's scary to think about being single again unless you actually rip off the band-aid. Once they're out of your life, you can breathe again.

I know it's different when we're talking about jobs, but I just wanted to share the experience of someone who wound up happier on the other side of all these layoffs. Remember, "this too shall pass."

We all need a bit of hope. Putting this up for encouragement. Source: @onf+1tQkSOjL
