Thanks for posting this. During the call did they tell you that you were being canned for? I mean, I presume "location strategy", but obviously it's a fake reason when you offer to move and they decline...

Seems several tech WFH. That's a known eventual pink slip. Where were conduct mgt folks located (core vs not and WFH or hybrid)?
Yes, I (Research Investigator) was one of the individuals in Conduct Management that got laid-off. My Manager wouldn't say how many people she was having to let go today and since I work from home 100% (or did) I have no idea who else was notified of their new updated employment status. I asked about the possibility of relocating to keep my position and was informed that the position no longer exists because it has been out sourced to India and the Philippines. Which translates to no one is safe from being let in the department regardless of Hub/Remote Status. The company will come to regret this decision and ultimately it will cost them more to rehire and retrain people then it did to pay out severance packages. Not mention the talent and knowledge that the company is losing. But here's to happy job hunting to all impacted today or in the future. For me it was a good 16 year run with one company but on to better places with a company that hopefully truly cares for its employees more than for continuing to increase their annual bonus another few million each.
