Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Don’t take it personal

I see too many posts here with people complaining and whining about Verizon doing layoffs and offering the VSP. To most companies you can be replaced tomorrow, so why are you all crying about being so loyal to a company and questioning how they can do this to their employees, when tomorrow they can replace you? It’s all business at the end of the day. Move on and look for something new if you got RIF’d or took the package. Good day!

If you have been at verizon less then 10 years is the severance 6 months for a RIF or is it based on weeks? If weeks how many per year?

If there is one thing Verizon does really well, it’s laying people off. They provide healthy severance packages which should be more than enough to catapult a solid employee into their next position. Move on, don’t look back.
