They made a series of poor choices, but their motivations were good : to differentiate AT&T from competitors and grow revenue.
What would you have done differently yo achieve those goals? Serious question.
I find it funny that Randy & Stink bought high, ruined the company then spun off the disaster purchase so that the T shareholder takes the hit. Then with their remaining loss the C Suite goons get a raise and the shafted low level employees get terminated.
Why is Randy consulting and the Stink still employed?
Stink was driving when it wrecked, then switched seats.
So if the deal is done and we have no interest in it then when will we see the 60billion dollar loss on quarterly reports. I’m not buying we are totally free of this and all we got was 43b. That’s a huge loss that would be reported.
They were doing good until T bought them. Sorry.
Sigh, do you all read beyond the headlines? Go and actually look at the earnings statement before blabbering about 10b loss. Most of those losses are deductions allowed by the tax laws. If you look at earnings and subtract costs, they actually made a profit.
Does AT&T report profits by this same metric?

AT&T owns 0% of WBD. That information. Is readily available online. 29% ownership is what former Warner Brothers shareholders own of the combined media company; AT&T shareholder own 71% of it at the time of the spinoff/merger.
Att still owns 29% of discovery Warner.
T is STILL dealing with the repercussions of that BAD decision!
