Cisco Talent Assessment

With the new guidelines and useless requirements being sent out by Sr Leadership they will ki-l the SE org off and have nobody left.

Make sure to do your utterly useless, cannot apply to any customer issue, totally internal, none technical quarterly training. Management are total fu-ktards.

The renewals team has failed over and over. I don't know how many times customers come to Cisco for support and their contract has expired. This happens every day... what are the renewal teams doing?

Every downsize or LR starts with talent assessment as if managers don’t know what their employees are doing. Ridiculously insane.

Most SEs don’t even think they can pass the CCNP Enterprise. The SE org has been dead for a long time.

Talent assessment is a tool used in Cisco to build a case for LRs. Never take a trap to fillin assessment only to be contradicted by manager and get lower rating. Specially gets tricky for higher grades…

After talent assessment I got LRd. Don't think less of this talent assessment. Write yourself the best engineer in world, say you know everything, save your job first.

SE is only true selling! We always clean up sales lies AND we have best relationships!!! Sales only have procurement team relations. They do nothings but work on quote tools, the sfdc or drink golfs!

Talented SEs are expensive, but they're a must when introducing business-changing technology to the industry. Cisco knew that in the 90s so they created an incredibly strong SE organization that beat 3COM, Cabletron, Synoptics, Wellfleet, etc. in head-to-head battles.

When selling legacy hardware, they're optional, particularly when your sales expense is out of whack and you have a huge partner base that can directly interact with customers.

I hope the few bright and ambitious SEs left at Cisco go find a new home where their skills can be used to their fullest and where they can own the room in leading customers' implementations of new, business-changing technology.
