Interesting to note team members being let go for living in cheaper areas as you have to be in a Hub location for "culture" or "collaboration", then you see FTE hires in India 12 hours off from us getting green lit. I'm sure it's not because they are a 6th the price, right?

What is interesting is that Legg’s India and Israel team is charging same rate for FTE what US has it. Why do we need them to take our work then ?
can you move to India?
There are now VPs in India. Legg is sending all new FTEs to India.
the point is not the technical skill of an Indian versus an American (who is also likely an Indian also), but the point is my friend can't work from Iowa where he lives with his sick dad, but his job can be done from India by some new guy. How is this a thing?
Why don't we have any executives based out of India?
"Are White males are the new snowflakes?????"
Our U cpabale of are making a good R sentance?
Are White males are the new snowflakes?????
I call for support and get India, they are definitely working from home. I can hear animals and kids in the background when I call. Their phone system is terrible and that’s in addition to the language barrier, usually end up chatting on Teams. They seem to be reading off script so, usually wait until the U.S. team comes on-line.
If you can work from home, someone in India, or Mexico, or Phillipines or anywhere can also do your job.
Any l4 s in India ?
There are L3 and L4s with majority ( >50% ) of their orgs in India or Israel. Especially in Legg’s Consumer Technology group. WTH they are doing here if not hiring and supervising them here?
Stop being a whiny little bi--h.
Just stop going in the office and tell them you identify as being in India
I already know of 4 full time India workers hired into my org in the last few weeks. Me though? I have to drive 3 hours a day to keep my job. INSANITY. C Suite is laughing at us with dollar signs as eyeballs.

Work from home. Live in India.
Israel is flaunting on LinkedIn about how happy they are about all the new TDP hires they brought in. The A doesn’t mean American. The cash flow and jobs are going right through the pipe to India, Israel, and Bratislava. Did you notice CWA putting in the fiber? Me neither
A layoff exercise. Period.
Yes. All of Indias is a hub.
Yep, I was a victim of that exact same situation. I was notified in January that I could either move to Dallas or Atlanta and had to be there in 1-2 weeks and working. My boss also told me "but we can't guarantee how long you will be employed". I chose to decline and was told I would be notified later in the year. In late April my boss "found" someone in India to replace my work as my client had a contract thru August 2025. I did tell her "I had no idea India was an option" and she apparently didn't find that funny... but I guess neither did I.
I was released on May 9 and as of August 9, my former team tells me the replacement has yet to do ANY work for the customer. Since the customer is paying for the portion, they got sc--wed in the deal along with my team who had to take on the work.
Leadership wants you working.
They want us back in cities wasting money, pumping up their commercial real estate, getting their tax breaks, and being miserable.
