In office time- saturdays?

If we normally work Monday to Friday but come in on a Saturday to catch up on work, does that count in reporting for a day in office?

Report that comes up gives avg per week. Mgr can drill down to days worked. Hours needed in office have been dealt w here before but the guaranteed answer remains 8 hours.

“I got "inconsistently meets" and one of the reason is coming in to work Saturday on several occasions. “ is either stretching things or their mgr is a chicken for not telling why they aren’t getting a meets.

Signed: a mgr

I’ve had to do a few Saturdays in since our team returned to office in March 2022. No one has ever mentioned it. I stayed maybe 2 hours tops. Agree with previous poster that all of this is nonsensical.

Yes...work week is Sunday to Saturday if you need to get days in a specific week..

It counts, if your manager makes a big deal, probably find another team. This whole RTO is a sham. If they were serious they would check time in office too. I see people spend 15 mins in the office on weekdays, how is that different than badging on a Saturday. Whole thing is ridiculous.

Working weekends does count as a day in the office. There are several positions where they work weekends as a normal schedule. Also, it's not what days you're in the office, it's about you going in the office.

I got "inconsistently meets" and one of the reason is coming in to work Saturday on several occasions. Avoid it if all possible. Come in on the evenings if you can't make in during working hours.

I think most managers dig in if there is a flag

Otherwise they likely share the same opinion about RTO as all of us

The only managers actively monitoring that cr-p is the dead wood A holes that have nothing better to do. No manager worth a S gives a damn.

weekends do count, but up to your manager if they want to call you out. If they see you are coming in on Sat or Sun they may come after you. If whoever is in charge of these reports wanted to they could easily create a flag for people coming in on weekends a certain % of the time, just like they do for unassigned location. I'd be curious how many managers spend any time digging into these reports for anyone beyond those not meeting their in office requirement. If the weekend work is just a one off then I say let your boss know via email so as to cover yourself. Because the in office requirements are calculated on a rolling average the general guidance has been to make it up the next week bu being in office an extra day.

Thanks all.
I don’t -want- to work a weekend but I was sick and need to catch up on work and the days in office that I missed.

Why the heck do you have to come in on a weekend?

I’ve used weekend days and haven’t been spoken to about it.

The reporting I look at includes weekend days on the day-by-day reporting. Managers hoping to boost collaboration and that nitpick may think otherwise.
