As CPM roles out something major in the Federal Appeals Courts just passed today (June 27th). It's been determined that Tech companies can be sued in class action lawsuits if Americans are either hired or fired because of H-1B foreign workers.

@2zvd+1tbIOd7I not bi--hin.. just stating facts. Unfortunately the solution is not obtainable. The current culture and landscape can't support it. New generation work ethic non existent. Inclusiveness is top priority. Degrees in specified areas not needed anymore. Management Nepotism is way too obvious and becoming common practice. Like that other comment says on here "no one cares!" But heres an idea, intel likes to see savings with data..cost per year.. take your average slacker of a technician.. very very common. Pretend he makes 100k+ a year for doing absolutely nothing. Now times that by thousands. There's some cost savings right there, not even counting those in management and engineering, there alot there too!!!!! Now you saving millions, hire good talented hardworking employees, bring back the gptw culture, set a damn standard of old school hard work

@1nge+1tbIOd7I , so what should Intel do? Your first sentence implies you have a solution but all you did was b-tch. Those problems are already brought up on other threads on this site. It is not just manufacturing it is everywhere.

Everybody on board the SS Intel just trying to stay on board as long as they can and still grab a life boat at the end. That’s the game right now.

Here's what INTEL should really do.. raw truth from seasoned current employee from AZ factory. If you are a current employee ..why should there be any reason to believe in this company? We have techs who boast about who can take longer breaks. Techs who play on their phone all day. Techs who refuse to do any extra work moreso their own. Complains all day. Incompetent engineers who don't show up to the floor for their product ever! Supervisors who don't care, dissappear all day, don't get rid of horrible employees, hide them under carpets. You know this is the damn truth. And those who stay, keep their head down and keep working through all this BS get all the work handed to them. When the last time a corporate higher up did an anonymous walk through our factories to see what really goes on day and night shift. Whose really on the floors working through the whole shift? Break abuse, entitled techs and now hiring randoms who took a 4 week program with high pay to pi-s off current employees. We are doomed.

I heard 10-11% target. Personally I don’t think they will get it voluntarily and will come back with an involuntary. Good luck to all.

Based on the timing of this, a week before the end of the quarter, I wonder if this is being done to appease investors. When they announce the poor earnings in a month they can say see we are already taking actions... It is common knowledge that Intel has far too many employees. This is long over due. The real question is what are the actual targets and will it be enough to matter. I realize that it matters to the people being impacted but the writing has been on the wall for a long time. You should have been looking for a job already. Good luck.

There's always CPM going on right now and it is not because of AI.

He's not... it's factory support/automation... they are hitting a new org every 2 weeks... they hit DCAI a couple weeks ago. The BU doesn't really matter at this point. They hitting foundry and support groups they'll hit everyone.

Why the he-l don’t people ever mention the BU impacted? Vague posts with no details do nothing more than stoke anxiety. Additionally it just makes OP seem like they are just making sh-t up.

What org is impacted now? Most orgs don’t even have a BU alignment

AI didn’t take your job though, looks like they’re just going to reduce heads and the remaining folks will absorb the workload, like normal.
