Please, please, please cull the dinosaurs still trapped in their 2001 good-ol'-boy mindsets. The world has changed around them, and they are impediments to progress.

lol. Enjoy att hel1!
Certainly sent a bunch of them packing yesterday. "I think of myself as an advisor rather than a worker bee". Funny, I think of you as unemployed rather than an advisor, but we can agree to disagree.
Hey everyone, found the McElfresh account. Only he had a ferret fetish
“ Unfortunately for new emps, T equipment is state of the are analog 1950. I'm a dino, but until the last landline is gone, dinos rule the earth. Years ago there was a story in T newsletter that an old timer fixed a month long analog issue and showed the issue was a text book example from a 1960 old school book”
How hard was it to spray some lubricant on the mechanicals, buttons sticking, replace a worn cord, earpiece or worn ringer? Prior to that, an old timer showed how to keep the fire from going out during rain so one could send smoke signals again when it stopped.
Old guy still trying to figure out how to plus in the internet.
New tech is faster, less expensive, easier to maintain, digital, and taught in schools.

Progress is good; but don't divide the team with internal squabbles.
is 6/25 tomorrow and I'm a dinosaur. my watch is about to end, all yours chief.
This Dino prefers the 1901 good ol’ boy mindset.
Offer a VTP, about half of the NTS and Comm Techs will run to retirement.
As long as no one knows what SS7 is.... the network will continue to thrive. (sarcasm)
I guess they don't teach SS7 in Asia/India?
Unfortunately, at least in my group, they are also doing the lion's share of the work. New kids can't seem to complete tasks on their own and need to be spoon-fed and hand-held. So who exactly is the impediment to progress?
