My boss does one on one meetings with his reports on Tuesday mornings and has for a long time. So if I were ever laid off I doubt I’d get any notice the day before.

@cud+1tbqdJRO is absolutely correct. It happened to me on 5/14; I was in Cyber. A normal 1:1 meeting was moved from a Thursday to Tuesday - that's when I knew. Ha! They even made me have to live through the weekend knowing - wish they just would have told me when they knew that it was coming. I guess there are no adults in the room.
Btw, I was a top performer and very well liked with no bad reviews; it was based on location alone. Even though I'm glad, it's always a bit disheartening to your ego. However S-E-V-E-R-E-N-C-E does help a whole lotta bunch! I'm more relaxed now and realize really what a 'chit*show' it was there.
