Let’s start flushing at the top and I agree, they should only get 30 days or less of severance. What they have done is criminal! A lot of families have been put into a bad situation due to incompetence from leadership.

Severance really needs to be changed to 30 days max to flush out bad employees.

“You have missed the point of collaboration entirely. Your time is coming.”

This person hatin’ on the coffee badge hustle.
Don’t hate the player, hate the game. T set up this system to reward this kind of activity, quiet quitting, etc - we all warned them what would happen with how they structured all of this and no one listened.
Now you have a whole work force of technical people phoning it in just waiting to be laid off since nothing is performance based so nothing you do will make any difference anyways.

The execs are getting what they asked for, an unmotivated workforce of which the only people left will be yes men and low performers who don’t ask questions, badge 3 times a week, and do the bare minimum.

Moving is pointless. You’re gonna get paid off anyways. It’s when, not if.

If you had moved to Dallas, I guarantee this post would have been, "I never should have moved to Dallas".

“A manger in our area was just walked out the door for some slight infractions that wouldn’t have used to be a firing offense. Was Cited - “failure to follow” so, all you card swipers beware, you’ve been warned many times. They might not catch all the sheep at once but they are continuing to thin the herd.”

You said ‘infractions’ so this person was warned.
I’m still 1-2 hours in and everyone on my team and other teams we work with do too.
Office is pointless for our developer work, especially since everyone we work with including each other are all located across the entire US and internationally.

Haven’t gotten a single warning, not worried, don’t care.

They see me badgin’ they hatin’ - reportin trying to catch me coffee badgin’.

Remember, “nobody is safe”?

Doesn’t matter where you are located, you might have saved yourself a lot of money by staying put. It’s ultimately all about reducing headcount, following the work, collaborating and living your destination isn’t necessarily going to save you.

Several folks who actually agreed to move were caught off guard with yesterdays layoff notices - saying yes to relocation makes zero difference as we are learning

They are slicing and dicing even at the L3’s/L4’s level - one who was already in Alpharetta received notice yesterday

This is no longer about RTO or Collaboration (if it ever really was)

Yes, especially if you are bilingual, Texas and other border states have been overrun with Joe’s illegals so, we need more Spanish speaking teachers also, many other businesses including AT&T need more bilingual’s too.

Nothing wrong with legal immigration but we can’t keep up with all the illegals, states and cities hardly have enough resources to service citizens and legals in need.

No guarantee that ATT would have kept you if had moved. ATT has surplussed people that chose to FTW. And they are not paying you to move so 100% of the risk is on you. If had chosen to move then you would have only wanted to rent.

Yes, you should've. Even if it weren't to stay with the company, Dallas and Texas is very business-friendly and a lot of opportunities exist outside of the business. Not to mention it's a buyers market if you're looking for a house.
