Prepping my budget layoff. Does anyone know if your part of a small group layoff that doesnt require a WARN notice, do they still give the 60 day notice before severance kicks in? I'm in AZ.

I heard they apply the 60 day notice across the board regardless but wondering if it's true.

60 days or 90 days depending on where you live and whether your director fights for extra time.

Standard is 60 days notice for everyone. Most are non-working notice. (Meaning you are informed and sent packing the same day never to return but are still considered active employee for 60 days.) Rare instances include a working notice where you are told but still work for up to 60 days but sometimes just a few days. That might be the case where it's a site closing. Usually Director level or above makes the decision. Most management doesn't want employees to retain systems access out of fear of retribution.
