I think it comes down to information we don't have access to. Meaning, how has Honeysmells been handling their finances. I read a article that an abundance of Corporate loans are coming due this year. With the higher than expected interest rates they'd have to pay they may've had to make cuts due to the higher payback on loans.
That's just one example, and is speculation. Also, companies like Honeysmells lives and dies by military expenditures. If they're not winning contracts, they're making cuts.

I’m not in Aero but I would jump on that offer in a heartbeat. But we’ve had so much attrition I doubt they’ll it unfortunately.

I’d love to see the reaction if employees were offered a one time voluntary RIF, preferably with a severance paid for years of service, and especially if it bridged your inclusion to buy the ‘Group’ medical/dental insurance (at group rate, not COBRA rates). I know certain Aero sites would have ‘hundreds’ of volunteers, and they could be hired back as contractor 6 months later if deemed critical.

Won’t have to RIF anybody. Making everyone come into the office 5 days a week should get the head count reduction they need with out paying out any layoff benefits. Big bonus checks on the way

Honeywell is suffering so badly from their own RIFs and other voluntary leavings that we are virtually non-functional in many areas. Also, keep in mind how difficult it is for Honeywell to hire. This site has contributed to that. I do not see VK just dumping people to make a dollar goal. I believe that he is earnest in wanting to actually make something of Honeywell. Unlike DariA$$ AdumbChick who was obviously in it for the money and not to win it.

Even though I don't have any real facts. After every presidential election at least where I work. Furloughs, layoffs, and RIFs usually come.

Even though I've been with the company only 12 years. In the three presidential elections cycles. We've been busy in he-l. Then after that corporate usually announces these things are taking place.

Why post this nonsense, just made up tripe. If there will be furloughs they will not be this time of year. Get a life.
