Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

6/24 Layoff

Looks like 750 people or so got downsized. Definitely higher than the usually 400-500. To all those that were hit, best of luck to you. A brighter future is ahead of you!

Where do you find the displacement AU ?

If you’re watching the displacement AU it’s somewhat easy to see how many people are displaced every 2 weeks because you’ll see the number jump up 2 days after the Tuesday layoff dates. So for this week the number in the AU went up by 751 on Thursday. It was up another 43 today. And the number in that AU didn’t drop this week because the people displaced on 4/15 dropped off the AU overnight on 6/15. And people displaced on 4/30 will drop off this weekend the night of 6/29. It’s not going to give you 100% perfect data but it’s enough to show that around 5,566 people have been displaced so far this year.

There were at least 2 layoffs in Austin this week in wealth management; one mail room clerk and one senior manager.

Truth. It's a minimum, for sure. We'll know more about that in 58 days.

The total number could have been bigger than 750. 750 is the difference between a day before and a day after 6/25 for that AU. But on the day after, there might have been many people who were coming out of the notice period. So the total # added to the AU could of been close to 1000 imo

Were the layoffs pre-notices? The most recent ones on WARN are the 80 in Denver.

That number is nation wide, all LOBs and locations. COO and tech was hit hardest. NC, SC and MN for states.

OP, was it based on a specific location or locations? I'm remote, and know the writing is on the wall, but have no idea when my time will be up.

250+ people in SC at 101 Greystone are currently in the notice period, so I presume that building is on its way to being shut down?

Does that number reflect 6/25 or 60 days prior?
