Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Time to change the top and not lay off the bottom

This company is lead by incompetent leadership. Opposite to the stock market, in case of T we can use a forward looking statement that future performance will mirror past performance. What do you expect from company that has long term debt of 123 billion that is growing at 1.6% year over year. Do you thing layoffs will help? Time to change the top and not lay off the bottom.

Short but the essential truth. Well said, @cby+1td6RHn2.

I’d be careful what you wish for.

“Innovative minds are being marched out the door this week.”

Innovators haven’t been around at T for years Let me guess. Are you a top performer?

“No innovation in this company”

Innovative minds are being marched out the door this week. I’m not mad, I’m confused at the meteoric plummet in leadership’s pov. It’s as if they threw in the towel.

Stankey is acting like we are in Industrial Revolution era where layoffs were used to cut cost. His mindset is stuck in 20th century. He thinks laying off high paid US employees and replacing them with cheaper offshore will solve T problems. No wonder he is on Forbes list of worst US CEOs.

T has no plan, the layoffs will not help. There is no innovation in this company. T is not technologically advanced and never will be with current leadership and geriatric BOD with members from the relic industry like railroad and coal mining.

This is the new AT&T and will not change. If you don't like, you need to exit the business. Must get total headcount to around 60K in the next 18 months. Get out now if you can!!

This company has a habit of laying off their workforce as cost-saving measures. That's all they know and that's all they'll do. They will never lay off the top layers, more like being given a golden parachute.

Lay off the unneeded workers. You don't want workers when there isn't enough work for them. Gotta adjust based on need.
