Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

Asset servicing is dead

It’s too late for that group. Once Roman took the helm and hired Mike J and Suzanne M, the three of them did damage beyond compare. Clients became dissatisfied and we couldn’t win enough new business. They created an environment in which talented people left and although the new leadership has its own issues, the big damages occurred over 2 years ago.

It’s much simpler than that. The Boomer brain drain has stuck a stake in the heart of the BNY vampire. There is no recovering unless India and Poland get their act together post haste. The useless U.K. Is never going to help.

This latest reorg is going to be an EPIC disaster that may be impossible to recover from. Run if you can!

BNY is going down. The management is a joke. They laid off my manager who was with the company for 15 years and was the subject matter expert for his field. They replaced him with someone who was no clue what he was doing.

It is kind of crazy that people in those positions wreck so many lives but when it’s their time to go they get a nice package while the rest of us struggle.

Anyway, MJ was clueless. He bloated us his org with multiple layers of management and said a lot without really saying anything. He was completely miscast for his role and the types of teams that rolled up into him.
