I received my 60 day non working notice first week of September 2023 and received a year end bonus but did not get the 401k match bc I was officially terminated the first week of November
It's very clear-cut in the Bonus section of the handbook. If you're laid off, your notice period has to take you through 9/30 - so if you're laid off before August, you get nothing. Same thing with 12/15 and 401k match.
You have a legal right to the bonus pool for the time you have worked. If they tell you otherwise show them the finger. Make sure you get extra severance on this account. It is part of the budget.
The language on bonus eligibility is squishy, believe it’s Sept. 30 but it’s up to your manager if you get a bonus. I’d be surprised if many managers use their funds to give a bonus to someone who no longer works here.
