Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Things are looking up for business sales

Morale is improving, change is in the air. 2nd quarter results were incredible. We dropped that loser cyber unit, and now we are free to focus solely on broadband and CRU. I hear so much positive collaboration when I go to the office for my mandatory 3 days per week that I now go in 5 days. I love the positive energy. I feel like we all come here each day committed to a common purpose.

Do you all feel it?

This is what the stock moving up to $50 per share does to your soul. I’m blessed to be on the journey with all of you. Namaste.

Trash post filled with the usual litany of internal propaganda. Network outages, cyber breaches. Things in AT&T Business are NOT looking up. The facts say otherwise. Its no longer a respectable global brand or provider because the strategy is trash, the product team can barely manage to introduce relevant products, the marketing is trash with the obligatory “AT&T” plastered all over every new product or service, and sellers who cant effectively sell at scale because everything is customized. The leaders, and by that I mean in title only, drove that bus into the ditch and are still at the wheel. Bought and ruined DirecTV. Bought and ruined TW. Bought and ruined AlienLabs. Name a business AT&T acquired that was not gutted and left in a state of total disaster.

Why is John Stankey a) still employed and b) highly compensated given the dreadful business results and vamue erosion??

“I mean it! I love working here!”

Absolutely no one likes working here anymore.

I agree with OP - the market's finally realized Stankey's farts smell like roses and the stock is on an upswing....of course it's down today but with continued strong leadership I'm confident it can maintain a strong average $16/share by the end of the year.

Sounds like a post from the local hemp club. AT&T is a dumpster fire everyday!

I work with different departments and teams across the U.S. and every time I have a 1 to 1 call with someone the person like clockwork turns the conversation to "what are you seeing out there, are things as bad for the other groups as they are for ours", they are worried that they are about to be put on plan, or surplussed and tell me about a group of former teammates that got quietly let go, and that so and so, heard from someone higher-up that there will be another reorg in the next 60 days and at that the rumor is that 1 or 2 members from their team is going to be axed. The stress everyone is under in this toxic environment while leadership eats chicken wings, makes stupid videos, waste money on useless travel and fleets of Uber Black SUVs, while worrying about which logo embossed kicks to wear to Pebble Beach is not healthy. The amount of disappointment and distrust for the executive staff -I refuse to use the word leadership-is something the likes of I've never seen in my 15 years. I feel for all of us and to everyone, especially you younger workers, get what you can from here, while you develop your education and skills but you'd be foolish if you aren't making yourself a solid exit plan.

Things really do need to turn around in this company. I have never ever seen such dismal and low morale. I do not know one person who actually enjoys working for this company anymore. It’s so sad so heartbreaking thank you Mr. Stankey

Posting is the poster child of(accurate) snarkiness. But of course, if you still work at this company, you have to have some snarkiness in order to withstand the pain of being an AT&T employee.

I'm not going to accept any positive AT&T news.

The ship is sinking.. fast. Every call I’m on; people are stressed, depressed, burnt out and waiting for the shoe to drop. Quotas took 6 months and the magic manipulation of target objectives… Stankey is a clone of Randal and they are laughing the way their banks.. at the cost of the hard working people.

Gaslighting again? Is that you CNN, MSNBC, CBS, NBC, NPR, Stankey? I’m sure Joe is also the sharpest he’s ever been, all videos are edited fakes and the Hunter laptop is a fake. Of course, we shouldn’t believe our lying eyes, us lemmings are waiting for you to tell/spin us the truth and how to think.

It’s giving the exact opposite on our floor, there is dread and the rumors are flying.

With each login to Linked In reveals another fellow employee with the “open to work” banner circling their profile pic. Another surplus in from another department. It’s hard to not wonder when our time will come.

Managers and senior sellers are scattering like roaches to new titles and departments where they hope and perceive that they’ll be safe while saying nothing about it out loud. Everyone who has been around knows that something is up.
