I live pretty far from my "home" location. I was told that I can pick another location closer to my house if I wish... BUT, whats the point when NO ONE from my team will be there? BUT, thats besides the point, any ma agers on here can confirm this? are we really allowed to work at ANY location if its closer?

The vsp for me is $400K!
Expect the Big Red will pull a page out of AT&T’s book and have people report where they are supposed to go shortly after VSP announcements. Anyone not reporting became the sacrificial lamb. Ask anyone from AT&T about it or read their forums.

Hm. I’m in TX and the rest of my team is in BR. Wonder if they’ll do some shuffling post VSP to line up teams.
I'm on east coast and everyone on my team is in TX. I went in anyway to HQ for the exceptional food and of course, to have the opportunity to run into Hans (happened 1x). Anyway, it was good to go in and see some people that I've worked with in the past.
Are they even tracking RTO? I know quite a few people that haven’t gone in yet with no plans too

You should work with your manager to get your location changed to whatever the nearest office is. HR does get involved but it’s doable. We just did that for one of my team members.
The requirement is 8 days per month. Although our Director isn’t holding us too strict to it, we do have 2 mandatory team meetings per month in basking ridge that ironically 1/2 the team joined by webex lol
BS you have to report to the site indicated on your profile in eWeb. Cause if you didn’t people would go where ever they want when ever they want.
Why do I imagine a hundred people showing up for one desk at a kiosk in the mall and taking over the food court for the day. Go go RTO!

This happened in my workgroup. Your manager has to work back with HR and real estate first to ensure the location is well-equipped before allowing you to switch
