I'm an internal candidate, considering moving from Brady's org. applying for a role reporting up to M. Green. Is the grass greener?

Some project owners got product owner jobs which is kinda a joke. Project managers don’t make good product owners. Same behavior without embodying the product mindset. Command and control nonsense.
Lack of alignment for sure in WxPS but there are some good self aware groups, leaders, managers, within trying to get rid of the garbage toxic waste.
Margie is nice. But I wouldn’t feel comfortable there, I know quite a few people were laid off from a crew there that was already very slim. And work was moved to India.
OP--I was part of Brady's group....grass is never gonna be greener.
sorry to say, all tech at WF will eventually be outsourced/offshored.
It’s wonderful if own a product there, because you can claim to be a product owner but push off any ownership responsibilities to the other LOB’s.
Echoing and adding, WXPS is a group without a goal or idea in mind of what is today or what it wants to be.
WXPS does not set a good example or lead in any area of technology. It does not do technology work through a professional lens, rather, it handles technology like a 100lb bouncer at a nightclub trying to kick out a 300lb drunk guy who is moshing on the dancefloor. It's ugly and painful every step of the way.
And yeah, the product model is 100% moot. That was the only thing in years and years I believed in right from the start, an industry wide method to simplify accountability, reducing overhead, complexity and risk.
If you come join WXPS, great! Glad to have you. Kindly suggest tempering your expectations, hopes, dreams, ideas, wants, needs, etc.
Is there any part of this bank that isn’t a train wreck?
@1zua+1tig5OBr, I Approve This Message!
Not greener at all. The WXPS “product model” is a real train wreck IMO. They have sliced and diced every “product” to the point that Product Owners don’t even know what piece they own. It’s made it impossible to actually support or engineer anything anymore.
