Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

I got what..?

My apologies for being cynical, but I just got my employee appreciation gift in the mail this week. Ya know, the campfire mug blossom kit….? I thought at minimum, even if I couldn’t get the seeds to grow, I’d at least still have a cool new mug. It would have made more sense to send it with alcohol so we can use it for shots to get us through the day.

Our group did not receive any sort of employee appreciation gifts. I love how they took, what was it? 1000 interns to Disney World? Money well spent.

I got absolutely nothing for my 25th. Manager said absolutely nothing either.

But I really do not care to get anything associated with this bank now. Just my pay for working more hours than ever before because of all the lay offs. WF has become such a joke.

Interesting. No call, email, snacks or points.

I remember one time that I got imputed income for a gift card to Starbucks. I don't even drink coffee but I sure paid taxes on it.

If you received a gift/reward points, check Wageworks too for a zero net dollar pay stub reflecting your years of service gift for value and taxes paid by WF. I was surprised the value on the paystub was as high as it was. Definitely didn't see anything in the store worth that much - for the number of points they provided to shop with. Would have preferred the cash.

I got a (clearly) re-gifted candle. Still employed, it was whispered that I would not be by the end of Q3.

@1enh give it time. The gift arrived weeks after the anniversary.

You got a gift ? Different stuff for different locations. So much for one Wells Fargo.

My employee appreciation was a phone call from my manager telling me I would be affected by location strategy two months, to the day, after a milestone anniversary. I had barely any time to cherish my postcard autographed by Charlie in a magnetically resealable block of acrylic before getting the news.

I felt so very appreciated.

I didn't get squat except for what was in the office, but my group is spread out. Tiago did buy treats for his group and there were extra so I got to have some of those, but nothing else. I am employed. :)

So you got the mug plus the 2k reward points? You ARE appreciated.

The reward points are chintzy and do token but honestly I appreciate the effort. Plus, the shortfall / disconnect is the least of worries.
