Managers are asked to lease an EV. This is how they plan to get more EVs sold.

It's only your supplemental vehicle. You can get whatever you want for your true management leases.

Just don't get a supplemental vehicle. -shrug-

Now to do something about all of the engineers who drive Toyotas. It's a lot of them.

I will just opt out. I wouldn't drive an EV if it was free. Not for political reasons, just doesn't fit my circumstances. But after the Pulse survey showing the LL6 ranks are approaching burnout, this is kind of a tone-deaf move.

I'll just buy a second car for my wife, and guess what, it won't be a Ford.

It really is amazing how these companies double down on the failing EV thing. All for politics.

This is clearly and only about dumping excess inventory. It was stated that FMC had put in capacity for 150,000 Lightning and only 23,000 were sold in 2023. I’m not sure how many were actually built before production was cut back, but clearly this new moratorium is about dumping inventory. The sell job is that it’s for employees to become spokespersons for the company. I highly doubt that they’ll be discounted heavily for the managers.

I dont disagree with this. If you are going to take away something that the customer was clearly buying and replace it with something they clearly don't want, you should drive it as well. Maybe if they won't listen to customers they will listen to management. Or maybe he's trying to build sentiment for support of a change in direction? Who knows.

This is EXACTLY what needs to be done.

Our superiors should be walking the walk and not just talking the talk.

When our leaders drive EVs, it will influence us workers to buy EVs.

And all parking spaces nearest to entrance points should be reserved for EVs. Even the handicap spots. The closest handicap spots should be EV only while the further handicap spots for ICE.

These are great ways to generate sales.

Nothing new here, JF said it 2 years ago in a town hall meeting. This is the right time to do it. We need to eat our own dog food to experience the pain of our customers. It is about time.
