Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

I literally have to drag myself to work

When you are attached to a company which is disheveled and not even fully aware of it, and when you’ve observed over time all the mistakes made gradually leading to this point today, you can barely muster any energy or motivation to work. Given the amount of time we spend working, it really su-ks the life out of you when you just go through the motions, day in and day out. If it goes on like this, I’ll have to look for another job. And I loved working here.

Sounds like me in 2008. Move on Obi-Wan-Kenobi. The Force is elsewhere.

Been there.

Life's too short to spend your days miserable like that, move on. You'll feel much better.

@1ujo I believe this too, and am taking a package to get my chips off the table to escape before the collapse. Afterward I can’t see how there will be fat packages anymore.

By “to work” do you mean from your bed to your computer, or do you actually go in?

"Wake up, it isn't going to get better at least not ant time soon."

until the government stops printing money, this slow degradation will continue
I suspect it will keep doing it until the elections so buckle up
when it stops printing money in large amounts to hold up this fake economy
(or we get into a world war) then this nightmare collapses
just hold on a bit longer before the real excitement starts and we get the wild wild west

How do you literally drag yourself into work? Do you grab your collar and act like some else if pulling you?

Wake up, it isn't going to get better at least not ant time soon. Intel needs to face some realities and too many employees is a big one. Your performance has likely been noticed and you will find yourself out on the street. Bad time to be looking for a job but I would get motivated about that if I were you.

You should have left when you started to feel this way. Anytime you feel this way it’s time to consider moving on.
