Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Jacksonville office closing

The Jax Florida office will be closed first quarter 2025 and everyone will be displaced. A lot of GTM people are impacted. None of these people can be replaced by staff in the Philippines, so GTM should be a disaster. Oh wait, it already is.

Pure rumor, but security person at Philips Hwy ice rink building was overheard saying the lease on the building expires at the end of 2025 but that WF wants everyone out by the end of the first quarter of 2025. Space is already very underutilized so it should not be too difficult to achieve.

Are the sales teams being displaced or is it just back office roles and implementations?

Is this the site by the Ice Rink or the site in the skyrise downtown?

Yep, yet another market that WF is bailing on. Portland, Vegas, Boise, Jacksonville, Columbia, Atlanta, Birmingham, Winston-Salem, and on and on it goes. In the end it's just I&P and Hudson Yards.

Doesn't GTM lead to other business (for example Commercial loans)?
This is the kind of thing analytics does for you, right?

Based on financials, it looks like a tiny part of the business. Are they winding it down?
