Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Wave 3 will be a big one

Wave 2 for core location strategy just happened and I was told by team leadership if you weren’t in wave 2, you will be in wave 3. Wave 4 is only special exception/projects. Was told wave 3 will likely be “early 2025”

NOTIFICATIONS for Tech Wave two will happen in Q3. Actual cuts won’t happen until Q4.

Engineers who are not co-located with coworkers or fully remote will be let go real soon.

Upper management does not give a cr-p about the environment created. It's been like this for a few years now. Personally, I dislike the vibes but that stress is not mine. I'm not going to quit so close to the end. My coworkers make it fun while we wait it out. Those struggling with performance might feel differently, but might as well have fun guessing the end and knowing someone else gets to take over this mess.

Upper management is loving that your all in suspense. Creating stress and uncertainty in the workplace while letting employees know that they're at a dead-end job is the the perfect way to lower morale which will result in employees either quitting or getting themselves terminated.

I'm not sure the lob your in at the Barn, but have you not seen the movement at the building? We don't know for sure of the date but I doubt anyone will be at the barn in 2025.

Well TK will wait till she has used you for whatever work/ project you are slated to finish then toss you. You know her managers have said , we can’t let such and such go until we have backfilled the job in India or until they finish this work. So why not do a work slowdown what’s the worst that can happen, you get let go? But you can have the satisfaction of leaving the remaining work for the kiss ups who rely on their buddies to save their jobs.

What will cause the most misery and voluntary attrition? That's what the c#n+$ in HY will do.

Not for all LOBs. Tracy Kerrins stated the next wave will be in second half of year for tech.

After Scharf’s earnings call comments that cost cutting was slower than expected & compensation is high I very much doubt it will be 2025. Q3 2024 would be logical
