Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

why am I getting an email from Sambar

re: 3rd party overrsight?

I don't have anything to do with managing those relationships.

HOLD THE EXECUTIVES IN CHARGE OF THESE RELATIONSHIPS ACCOUNTABLE. FIRE THEM.

DO SOMETHING BESIDES HAMMERING ON L1-L2 MANAGERS THAT HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH IT AND WHO ARE POWERLESS TO MAKE ANY CHANGES.

Good luck with accountability and consequences around here, that ship sailed a long time ago with Whitacre and Stephenson.

As managers, everyone has to take ownership.

As a leader, you could start by setting an examp... oh wait.

Respond to the email, making sure to CC the leader that is responsible for managing said relationships. Don't forget to @mention them and add a blurb about how they would know better. :)

Don't be afraid to hold those above you accountable for their own actions.

Those third parties sure do have oversight... of AT&T's data that we outsourced. Robbing Peter to pay Paul, pieced the company out to foreign countries well-known to be safe havens for scammers, and the execs wonder why we can't keep water in the bucket they drilled holes in. You literally can't make this stuff up.

Sambar’s message finger pointed and wasn’t one that was well received.

He avoided, ownership and definitely didn’t “win as one”.

What was he thinking?!?!!!!

Left AT&T in February. Taking required “Compliance” training at new job at Microsoft and the “Phishing” awareness training specifically cites the example of Snowflake hacking due to lack of multi factor authentication and lists all of the businesses that have been impacted. So funny. AT&T should have kept data on On-Prem Servers like Microsoft does with their customer data.

He who crafts the statement of work for a pile of garbage that begins to rot and stink, owns it with his/her career. If it goes south, they should be fired. Markus and Legg are responsible decision makers and should. be. fired.

The Stink lickers are looking for more scapegoats to fire after the next data breach!

After all, they will never fire the Stink or any other officer for their outsourcing mania!

Stink Stinks!

Got the same email. Go take these PLE courses so we can say we did something. Same as with the national outage, take this PLE course. Like any of us had a thing to do with this. Nope, they made the deal with this cloud company, they decided to send our data there. It is their fault that the company did not safeguard that data. Idk, maybe don’t send data outside our company?
