Mid year review

Managers are going to use mid year review to remove people who are not part of their gangs.

Since when does WF fire under performers? That would imply they are holding people accountable. I've been here several decades and it seems to take a move of heaven and earth to get rid of someone who doesn't do their job. Senior managers have been cherry picking to get rid of their most talented people (who usually have higher salaries), to save themselves. Giving their top performers, low performance ratings so they leave and don't get their severance. Postponing the inevitable for themselves. Soon it will just be HY and India. Well done A$$Clowns.

It’s all blame game. Mid-years supposedly don’t count but they bite when it comes to layoffs.

Was told this week habitual LOA folks have been cut loose. At least one on my floor.

@op. No Sh!t Sherlock! If you’re not in your managers “gang” then wtf are you? Serious question. So many salty, supposedly intelligent hardest working people ever on this board but you don’t know how to manage up? Don’t know how to play the corporate game? I have yet to meet a manager who you can’t get on their side by simply doing your job and not being a big ole bag of Richards. Then do whatever in the F you want. How is that not a win?

Can lead a horse to water…..

What a mess, my manager has been keeping away from me for years, knowing I'm a strong candidate for layoffs. I am treated as a peon, my contributions are worthless to the future of the company.

It's as if one day I awoke in an alternate universe, went from team lead to being ignored and treated like yesterday's news.

If my mid-year is bad, it says way less about me and more about my manager and the company.

Has Wells Fargo ever terminated anyone for cause? The review process lacks rigor here - they would be afraid of lawsuits. They need to make up fake causes like location

They are using performance ratings to try to get people to leave voluntarily and not have to pay severance packages. I’m a former senior manager and that’s what I was pressed to do. It was a full court press. Told to rate lower even when I had documented examples of work performed and value of said work. Guess what I did? Retired. I worked for WF for 20+ years and loved all but the last 4. It’s become a workplace I would never agree to work in. Glad I left. Sorry for those of you still dealing with this underhanded cr@p.

@cwb+1tyn1vNP, totally agreed. Facing same problem but I believe managers get what he does to us.

I don't have problem with removing underperformers, but I have problem with managers artificially making up fake reviews to sc--w good performers. This typically happens to those who are not managers' favorites.

In the eyes of HY, everyone in the US is an underperformer.

There is absolutely an effort to remove under performers in Q3 & 4. Also a bunch lined up for RTO issues, who are moving through the process.

When I was there, it was those end of year reviews where the daggers came out.
