Having to reserve a desk is going to s-ck. People that are in the office 5 days/week currently get an assigned desk, but with our site now being designated as a hub, there will no longer be any assigned desks. And what about people that have special equipment to do their jobs? Where is that equipment supposed to go if they don't have an assigned desk? And they're bringing back all the remote people now too, where are they going to sit if there isn't enough space for them? I feel that this isn't going to end well.

Just wish the Fargo office wasn’t so drab. The cubes are all old and stained, the monitors are low res and making working difficult too.

Like everything else , they will mess this up royally and we will suffer for it. They will wonder why they have run out of space , people used to be in the offfice, why can’t they all fit now. They will never put 2+2 together. They reduced floor space and they hired more people . Now they have to cut their way back or spend more for floor space.

They rent a couple of floors in the Rookery building in downtown Chicago. There’s zero way they can stuff all the employees in that amount of space. If anything, they’ll wait for the lease to expire and then downsize.

If USB owns the Hub building then they’re going pack that MFer up!

Wouldn't it make sense to RTO the bigger hubs on a staggered basis until you complete it? Also, none of these RTO updates have been communicated to rank and file employees.

Is there any method to the madness in terms of the order they choose which hubs to return next? Seems odd they just passed up Chicago for example in favor of RTO'ing Cincinnati/Oshkosh. If they cared about helping people out avoiding doing this mid-holiday when it's cold af you'd think they'd start NY and Boston early (not in Nov/Dec/Jan) etc.

The fear uncertainty and doubt USB has created through both the return to office policy itself, the coordinated large layoffs in favor of hiring new non-Americans (dude it's called U.S. Bank) and the lack of any sort of timeframe for any of these decisions is absolutely unbearable. What a sh*t employer.

I’ll say this. AC , Elfio and the upper l-wlifes club we have in management can go to he-l and burn there. May they all get eternity in he-l for what they are doing to us.

Where did you hear they pushed RTO to Q2 next year for many people?
It’s a mess. I went from Remote to 3 days in office and back to Remote again in a span of 2 months after the building I was assigned to lease expired and they didn’t renew. Nice planning! They have zero considerations on how much this effect us from transportation To elder or child care or moving Entirely.

They think we all make 7 figures like Elinco and
Andy so we can adapt quickly

If I wanted to give a company a blueprint how to destroy morale I would give them what this company has done the last 6 months.

They have given up on RTO for all employees by EOY and Andy is not happy about it. As OP mentioned, Fargo, Cincy and Oshkosh are next and then the hope is they can do 8-9 more by EOY but the remainder have been pushed to Q1 and Q2 of next year. Handled by leadership incredibly poorly to announce RTO and introduce so much uncertainty only for it to take more than a year to implement.

RTO beginning January 1, during the harshest part of winter, sounds like an excellent way to alienate the rank and file.

I wonder about the likelihood of all 24 hubs to RTO by the end of the year.
