Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Oakville

So it seems the super duty is heading to oakville. Might be a smart decision, but it's sad that ford only knows how to build trucks. Also where is u759 going?

Should’ve shut oakville down

US production helps made in USA marketing and keeps UAW numbers per the contract minimium

Mexico is low cost and potentially helps bottom line

What use is Canada, its co-mie land anyway

Dodge / Chrysler has been a cheap wh--e for 20 years it's not new news.. every 5 years someone buy them out and F#5$ them and sell them to the next one.

Good Move. EV is dead and Super Duty is the best product Ford has. Money can be made from volume. Time to bring in the Dodge customers. Dodge unfortunately is about done due to the foreign management.

Interesting decision. At the present time you have both KTP and Ohio Assembly that produce the Super duty trucks. Second the starting price for a regular cab SD is around $75k.
Is JF requesting that Ford increase production for SD when you have dealer lots stacked with parked trucks? Not sure this is a wise move.

I feel bad for all the suppliers that built plants near Oakville to support U759

Yep, smart move to send this week to Oakville. Great workers, they will do Super Duty proud! Explorer...betcha will land in a LCC, Mexico is my bet.
