How long between your last paycheck and the vsp or pension payment?

@ult+1tzQuw3E they are talking about pension lump sum, not severance
lump sum pension - if you submit prior to 10th of month, you will get 1st of following month, otherwise you will get first of the month after that.
Severance cannot be rolled into 401K.
The payout during the last VSP came staggered in 3 checks. All received within a month. First check was unused vacation which came within 2 weeks. Week 3 the severance, STI check came. The lump sum pension took the longest because they only send that out after the 1st of the month. Make sure you tell them to roll into the 401k or an IRA to prevent taxes.
