Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Disgusting

I had a one on one with my boss for my mid year discussion. My boss made up many fake comments and hinting I will be on PIP.

What is sad is that the review process employed by WF leaves a more toxic facilitator-controlled work environment. It gets more toxic each year. The ones perpetuating this toxic environment remain.

My manager asked us to provide a few names of people who would provide the 360 feedback. So I gave him two managers and two peers names. I knew those were all positive feedbacks because I always got a lot of compliments from managers and peers. However, my manager did not use any of those feedbacks and he didn't even write much comments in my performance review. All he did was to put the rating of "inconsistently meets" without clear explanations. During the one on one meeting with him, he said I didn't do anything wrong, but the "inconsistently meets" is a new "meets" at Wells Fargo and WF's standard went up higher. He said once he entered the rating, the system no longer allows him to changes the rating. I was confused. What kind of BS explanation is that?

My mid year conversation only solidified what a terrible of a manager I have and the culture is just too toxic to fix. Wish they knew how awful the executive directors are and they are breeding a failing team- no wonder unions are growing and turn over is high. How about they start to displace from the top down if they truly want change and a better bank! Culture of toxic puppets with a title is the new “dream team”

Same. He had “comments in WorkDay”. WTH does that even mean? And if he asked my peers for feedback on me, why did he not also ask me to give feedback on my peers?
