We stop unfair labor practices. If you don’t understand that then, I would like to take another week of vacation away from you.

“ Do you get paid for time you are not working when you walk off?”

CWA has fantastic information distribution , don’t they. SMH

Sometimes it takes a grievance stoppage to get the companies attention especially, when it comes to pay owed someone.

Solidarity??

Call me when a Union other than CWA at a company other than AT&T walks out in "solidarity". Wait, call me when American Airlines or any other company's MANAGEMENT employees walk out in support of a AT&T union sk--k. The rest of the world is busy being productive. Nobody cares about your self created drama.

"15% of membership are bottom feeders"

I had a contingency assignment 3-4 years ago and the trainer referred to them as SAMS. I thought the acronym was for a job function or role. We returned later that night for training with a different trainer. Someone asked this trainer what SAMS was. She was puzzled and asked for context. She laughed and explained it was only S-A-M, Socially Awkward Misfits. Good to see they could maintain a sense of humor during the negotiations.

We frequently interact with Craft employees. They distance themselves from this element by explaining every Union has Cream vs Cr-p members. Those Cr-p members are wholly unreliable and disgruntled misfits who tarnish the image of professionalism the Unions strive to present. They told us the Unions are cognizant that at least 15% of membership are bottom feeders, and that public opinion of Craft would improve six fold if they would shed that burden. Unforunately the position of the Unions represented within AT&T is weakened every year, and they cannot afford to lose that percentage of membership.

Not everyone walked out in Solidarity.
Some of us were busy working.

It was a grievance strike because one union member was not paid correctly in Reno NV. Local 9510 walked in solidarity. They called it off when it was reported the employee was paid in full.
