Anyone else read Hans’ email and find that ominous? I know rifs are anticipated but this paints a dark picture. Leaving is very bittersweet but knowing that the work is just going to be piling on for those who stay make it a bit sweeter. Sending out best wishes for all those who are staying with VZ.

The severance laws are different outside the US and vary by country.
Good. I hope a RIF extends to International, specifically UK. The model supported by HCL is unbearable for sales and customers alike.
If you had VSP here there would be no one left…..which is why they would never offer it
No warm and fuzzy feelings from that email. :( we were warned. I did not take the VSP but after reading that, seeing my director taking a new role, and pauses on projects for our division makes me regret not taking it. My director taking a new role and the pause in the future projects all came to light after the VSP window. Good luck to all who like me have decided to stay.

Can someone please "anonymously" copy and paste Han's email here so us VZ/HCL rebadges can see it? We are expecting our offer next week and it will be nice to see the entire big picture. Thank You.
I keep thinking back to Han's/Sam's Up-To-Speed where they kept emphasizing the importance of weighing the VSP option, knowing that post VSP things were going to "change". She said it like three times. Like others I took the VSP and had hoped for a March release. Not only was March rebuffed it was ignored. Leaving for me is bitter sweet. I enjoyed the work, but I know the workload being left behind will be a rough haul for those who stay.

I accepted the VSP and although bittersweet I know I dodged the next hard hitting curveball that's coming. The economy is tough and companies are having to make some tough decisions. Nothing is as it used to be. Make way for AI and the autobots! Lol 😆 I appreciate the journey however and the knowledge. Good luck to those who stayed but know a dark winter is ahead
Definately should have sent some of that before the volunteer period closed.
I agree the "What's next segment" of the email is not that reassuring for those who decided to reject the VSP offer. It will be interesting to see how this all eventually unfolds. Best of luck all!
