Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

How long before the pressure builds on SH?

I know CR is getting heat for yet another pathetic year but SH seems to have gotten away with it. 0.61 for the company factor is the lowest as far as I am away (10+ years) all because he was unable to give a decent yearly forecast.

I can bet that SH will boast about after-market pop in Cisco stock as a sign of company doing well and wallstreet buying their narrative. the stock will be sold off in next few days but he will conveniently skip that part.
Cisco stock has not done anything for so many years even after multibillion acquisition and buybacks. In fact they are funding dividends and buybacks via debt now which seems crazy.

they should have refreshed entire ELT years back as this ELT has hardly done anything to generate returns for shareholders.

They could have frozen the dividend at the same price it was for a year - savings are savings.

This part is definitely on SH to institute cuts that will help with savings. Especially give. He was responsible for the cuts to begin with - 0.61 is some brutal sh-t.

ELT is almost on the stupid spectrum - it may be kinder to call them inexperienced.

when you are a CFO and have to change your forecast 2 times in the same year, then you pretty much su-k at your job. changing a forecast mid-year almost never happens. to do it 2x's? i'm surprised he's still here

Uhh... it's his job to balance the books.

Should he be crawling all over every product manager in the company holding them to account for their spend and forecasts? Maybe, but ultimately they don't answer to finance. JD and JP and LC are the P&L owners, plus now GS. They should be all over thier product managers... clearly they are not.

He did the job he was paid to do: save the company money.
