Just a heads up, there’s COVID going around at The Barn
I wonder if they are putting less into the cleaning budget to make us miserable. Everything has seemed so dusty lately (before they started moving the desks around again). My desk is under one of the air vents, and my desk gets covered in dust overnight. Did they stop vacuuming the carpets? My nose starts running and I can't stop sneezing/coughing every time I enter the building. The minute I go out into the parking lot I'm fine.
On the topic of desk moves, I think I've been through about a dozen since 2016. It gets tiring. As long as they don't stick me down in the green mile....
@uwq+1u2NZ4kf ok good to know I'm not going crazy! One day I'm really cold and the next I'm really hot. I'm going to start bringing a thermometer in to track the temps. That's some evil sh-t man.
It seems they’re going from lowest severance and expertise to highest severance and expertise. Unfortunately for them, they’re realizing that you cannot teach common sense and work ethic (for free) so they’re just stalling and hoping they can find miracle people to replace us. They’re also hoping we’ll quit by making life harder - if they don’t have to pay severance they can use that money to pay someone to have work ethic. They also keep moving our desks around, we all have to go through the same single door, they fluctuate the temperature wildly day by day, etc.
Ask the CPG rep onsite next time you're at the water cooler. Surely she knows. CPG always knows.
It seems like something is due to happen at the barn, but it's eerie. With fewer people less rumors or truths being leaked, so we hope it's soon. We are not going to just walk away at this point. We will wait it out and take our package 📦. No new news here to report
Sounds like they're getting ready to move everyone downstairs and I'm certain more will be displaced soon.

The execs are hoping that by informing employees of The Barn that the place is closing, some will quit and not get a severance. The lease gives them time to try to wait people out a bit, but I'd be shocked if there weren't large numbers of employees downsized before the end of the year. Don't know if it will be all employees, but start saving those paychecks.
