Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

I’ll just say it- I hope this round takes out exec levels

I’m really hoping what seems like crazy delays and unorganized planning is because much more time is needed to map people once VP levels are gone. I’m specifically talking about collab sales, PM and sales engineering (I would have included G2 in that if he didn’t just get promoted (unbelievable lol)). They failed us, and walk around like they’re untouchable even after such embarrassing leadership performance. TSAs have an unreasonable expectation to be in mandatory trainings all the F-ing time and have been under resourced to really go head to head with competitors who constantly out innovate and hustle us. I wonder if LH and JK left because it’s truly a lost cause. If specialist sales org even survives sp--k’s plan, we need new and MUCH better execs who don’t have multiple years in a row of flat/decline performance. How can they live on when their GOAL is simply to not decline- 0-1% is worth keeping them??

I’ve seen how much directors make and I’m sure it’s even more egregious the higher up you go.

Sales Engineering leadership is too infested with MBAs, CSAPers, and non-technical yes-men. I'm afraid nothing short of radical change could course correct this once great department.
